Grow Your Own! Is a new, cost-and-time efficient series of entry-level classes in topics important to home food growers. Through this yearly program, University of Nevada Cooperative Extension provides unbiased, research-based education and training to Nevada gardeners. Grow Your Own! is designed to increase home food production and inspire responsible water use in the garden.
NEMO Nevada is an educational program for land use decision-makers addressing the relationship between land-use and water resource protection. As our community continues to grow, the rapid rate of construction and development can have negative impacts on our natural resources, including water quality and quantity. With appropriate planning, we can effectively decrease the need for best management practices to mitigate development impacts. This saves the community from expensive retrofits and maintenance projects.
University of Nevada Cooperative Extension is an outreach arm of the University that extends unbiased, research-based knowledge from the University—and other land-grant universities—to local communities. Educational programs are developed based on local needs, often in partnership with other agencies and volunteers.
